- Los asistentes recorrieron el área de huerta y El Saladar durante aproximadamente 7 kilómetros en los que conocieron el entorno natural y los cultivos típicos de la zona
La Concejalía de Turismo del Ayuntamiento de San Fulgencio califica positivamente la última ruta ecoturística organizada por el Consistorio con el objetivo de dar a conocer el entorno natural que rodea el municipio. En esta ocasión, la tercera de las seis rutas organizadas llevó a los 35 participantes a visitar la característica zona de huerta que rodea San Fulgencio, así como el área de El Saladar. La actividad tuvo una duración aproximada de tres horas, con siete kilómetros y medio de distancia recorrida.
Los asistentes disfrutaron de una visita a los alrededores del Hondico Amorós, donde se pueden encontrar especies de aves y plantas protegidas únicas en la zona, además de contar con la oportunidad de conocer los distintos tipos de cultivos que se llevan a cabo en San Fulgencio. Asimismo, también se proporcionó información a los senderistas sobre la historia y desarrollo de las infraestructuras y sistemas de riego que son característicos del municipio.
La actividad se llevó a cabo siguiendo todas las recomendaciones y medidas de seguridad sanitaria frente al Covid-19, “con todos los asistentes portando mascarillas y respetando siempre en la medida de lo posible la distancia de seguridad de más dos metros de separación interpersonal”, ha informado Darren Parmenter, concejal encargado del área de Turismo.
El edil ha manifestado su satisfacción ante este nuevo éxito de la convocatoria y ha agradecido el trabajo realizado por los técnicos de su concejalía. “Una vez más, los participantes han podido disfrutar de una experiencia fascinante”, ha comentado Parmenter, “ya que se trata de rutas muy educativas que muestran la riqueza natural que posee nuestra propia huerta y que son muchas veces desconocidas para la mayoría de nosotros”.
La próxima edición de esta actividad se llevará a cabo durante el mes de octubre y próximamente se darán a conocer las nuevas fechas. More than thirty people take part in the third ecotourism route organised in San Fulgencio

The San Fulgencio Town Council’s Department of Tourism was full of enthusiasm following the latest ecotourism route organised by the Council with the aim of promoting the natural environment surrounding the municipality. On this occasion, the third of the six routes organised led the 35 participants to visit the characteristic orchards surrounding San Fulgencio, as well as the area of El Saladar. The activity lasted approximately three hours, covering a distance of seven and a half kilometres.
The participants enjoyed a visit to the surroundings of Hondico Amorós, where you can find protected bird and plant species unique to the area, as well as having the opportunity to learn about the different types of crops grown in San Fulgencio. The walkers were also given information about the history and development of the infrastructures and irrigation systems that are characteristic of the municipality.
The activity was carried out following all the recommendations and health safety measures against the Covid-19, “with all those attending wearing masks and always respecting as far as possible the safety distance of more than two metres between people”, reported Darren Parmenter, councillor in charge of the Tourism Department.
The Councillor expressed his satisfaction at the success of the event and thanked the technicians of the Council for their work. “Once again, the participants have been able to enjoy a fascinating experience”, said Parmenter, “as these are very educational routes that show the natural wealth that our own municipality has and which are often unknown to most of us”.
The next Ecotourism Route will take place during the month of October and the new dates will be announced soon. The San Fulgencio Tourist Information Office is located in Calle Amsterdam in the La Marina urbanisation.
