• Las actividades, organizadas en colaboración con la asociación ‘Mujeres Unidas de San Fulgencio’, se desarrollarán del 21 al 27 de noviembre

El Ayuntamiento de San Fulgencio ha dado a conocer los actos programados para conmemorar el Día Internacional Contra la Violencia de Género en el municipio, organizados por la Concejalía de Mujer, que dirige Mª Ángeles Fernández, la Concejalía de Bienestar Social y Políticas de Igualdad del casco urbano, dirigida por Josefa Sampere, y la Concejalía de Bienestar Social de la urbanización, Samantha Hull. En este sentido, Fernández ha indicado que “desde el Consistorio nos sumamos un año más a esta jornada de reivindicación para decir ‘basta ya’ a esta lacra para la sociedad y brindar nuestro apoyo a todas aquellas mujeres que la padecen”.

De esta manera, y en colaboración con la asociación ‘Mujeres Unidas de San Fulgencio’, se ha organizado una marcha por el municipio para este domingo 21 de noviembre, que comenzará en la Plaza de la Constitución del casco urbano a partir de las 9:30 horas. Una vez concluida, “se procederá a la lectura del manifiesto, donde recordaremos a las 37 mujeres asesinadas por esta causa en nuestro país desde que comenzara el año 2021” ha indicado Fernández. La asociación anima también a participar en la concentración del miércoles 24 de noviembre que “como todos los miércoles de finales de mes, se lleva a cabo para recordar a las mujeres que sufren Violencia de Género”, ha informado la edil. Será también en la plaza de la Constitución, a partir de las 19:00 horas.

Como actividad principal para este año, destaca la campaña de información y prevención contra la Violencia de Género, financiada a través del Pacto de Estado del Ministerio de Igualdad, que se desarrollará en varios ámbitos del municipio durante el mes de noviembre. La acción incluye la instalación de mesas informativas el mismo jueves 25 en puntos como los ayuntamientos de la urbanización y el casco urbano o el Centro Cívico. Otro de los lugares en los que se colocarán será en la sección del IES La Encantá durante el tiempo de recreo, “con el objetivo de concienciar a los más jóvenes sobre esta problemática y que sepan reconocer los primeros signos de peligro”, ha manifestado Sampere. Esta campaña incluye también la realización de talleres en las aulas para el alumnado de 3º y 4º de ESO, así como la instalación de una carpa informativa en los días 23, 27 y 30 de noviembre y 4 de diciembre, coincidiendo con la celebración del mercado en el casco urbano y la urbanización, “para dar a conocer los diferentes recursos municipales y redes de apoyo a las que pueden acudir las mujeres que desgraciadamente se encuentran en esta situación”, ha indicado Hull.

Las actividades continuarán partir de las 20:30 horas en la sede de la asociación de mujeres, ubicada en la avenida de Guardamar de San Fulgencio, con la proyección de una película relacionada con la temática a la que será necesario apuntarse antes del martes 23. Asimismo, el sábado 27 a partir de las 20.30 horas, se desarrollará en la Escuela de Música el ‘Concierto de Santa Cecilia y contra la Violencia de Género’, ofrecido por la Unión Musical de San Fulgencio. La entrada será libre hasta completar aforo.

Las concejalas han querido invitar a toda la población, siempre cumpliendo con las precauciones frente al Covid-19, “a participar de estos actos a través de los cuales queremos crear concienciación acerca de esta problemática que afecta a tantas mujeres”, ha señalado la concejala de Bienestar Social de la zona de urbanizaciones. Por su parte, Sampere también ha manifestado que desde el Ayuntamiento de San Fulgencio “vamos a seguir trabajando todos y cada uno de los días del año para ayudar a las mujeres que lo necesiten, así como por conseguir la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres en el municipio”.


San Fulgencio presents the events to commemorate the International Day against Gender Violence

The San Fulgencio Town Council has announced the events planned to commemorate the International Day Against Gender Violence in the municipality, organised by the Department of Women, led by Mª Ángeles Fernández, the Department of Social Welfare and Equality Policies of the village, led by Josefa Sampere, and the Department of Social Welfare of the urbanisations, Samantha Hull. In this sense, Fernandez has indicated that “from the Townhall we join together for another year to say ‘enough is enough’ to this problem for society and offer our support to all those women who suffer from it”.

In this way, and in collaboration with the association ‘Mujeres Unidas de San Fulgencio’, a march through the municipality has been organised for Sunday 21 November, which will begin in the Plaza de la Constitución in the town centre at 9.30am. Once the march is over, “we will proceed to the reading of the manifesto, where we will remember the 37 women murdered for this cause in our country since the beginning of the year 2021”, said Fernández. The association also encourages participation in the rally on Wednesday 24 November which “like every Wednesday at the end of the month, is held to remember the women who suffer Gender Violence”, reported the councillor. It will also take place in the Plaza de la Constitución, from 19:00 hours.

The main activity for this year is the information and prevention campaign against Gender Violence, funded through the State Pact of the Ministry of Equality, which will take place in various areas of the municipality during the month of November. The action includes the installation of information tables on Thursday 25th at points such as the town halls in the urbanisation and the town centre and the Civic Centre. Another of the places where they will be placed will be in the section of the IES La Encantá during recreation time, “with the aim of raising awareness among young people about this problem and that they know how to recognise the first signs of danger,” said Sampere. This campaign also includes workshops in classrooms for students in 3º ESO and 4º ESO, as well as the installation of an information tent on 23, 27 and 30 November and 4 December, coinciding with the celebration of the market in the town centre and the urbanisation, “to publicise the different municipal resources and support networks to which women who unfortunately find themselves in this situation can turn”, said Hull.

The activities will continue from 20:30 hours at the headquarters of the women’s association, located on Avenida de Guardamar in San Fulgencio, with the screening of a film related to the theme which will be necessary to sign up before Tuesday 23. Also, on Saturday 27 from 20.30 hours, will be held at the School of Music the ‘Concert of Santa Cecilia and against Gender Violence’, offered by the Musical Union of San Fulgencio. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.

The councillors wanted to invite the entire population, always in compliance with the precautions in front of the Covid-19, “to participate in these events through which we want to raise awareness about this problem that affects so many women,” said the councillor for Social Welfare of the urbanisation area. For her part, Sampere also stated that the San Fulgencio Town Council “will continue to work each and every day of the year to help women who need it, as well as to achieve equality between men and women in the municipality”.
