- Se desarrollarán del 6 al 13 de marzo e incluirán un acto institucional, la instalación de mesas informativas, talleres escolares y un cine-fórum
El Ayuntamiento de San Fulgencio ha presentado la programación de actos destinados a la conmemoración del 8 de marzo, Día Internacional de la Mujer. Estas actividades han sido organizadas por las concejalías de Mujer e Igualdad en colaboración con la asociación Mujeres Unidas de San Fulgencio, y se desarrollarán del 6 al 13 de marzo.
La concejala de Mujer, Mª Ángeles Ferrández, ha indicado que el principal evento tendrá lugar el domingo 6 en la Plaza de la Constitución del casco urbano, a partir de las 10:00 horas. El acto contará con la instalación de una mesa informativa y el reparto de lazos solidarios, además de desarrollar actividades saludables como ‘Zumba’ y un almuerzo para quienes asistan. Al finalizar, se procederá a la lectura del manifiesto del Día de la Mujer, “un acto institucional en el que reivindicaremos que San Fulgencio es un pueblo que cree y trabaja cada día por la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres”, ha indicado Ferrández. De manera previa, la misa de la Mujer se celebrará a partir de las 9:00 horas en la iglesia parroquial del municipio.
Las actividades continuarán el día 8 de marzo, en el que la asociación Mujeres Unidas de San Fulgencio ha organizado un cine-fórum que se desarrollará a partir de las 21:00 horas en la sede de la organización, situada en la avenida de Guardamar. Durante la misma se procederá al visionado de una película relacionada con las temáticas del feminismo y la igualdad. De esta manera “queremos compartir con las mujeres de la asociación y los asistentes las diferentes experiencias y opiniones sobre la desigualdad de género, y cómo podemos atajarlas entre todos”, ha manifestado la presidenta, Fina Reme Villena. Los interesados/as en asistir a la actividad tendrán que inscribirse previamente, llamando a los teléfonos 656 63 11 48 y 652 07 76 22.
Asimismo, la concejala de Igualdad, Josefa Sampere, ha manifestado que durante toda la semana se instalarán mesas informativas en el Ayuntamiento, en el centro cívico del casco urbano y en la oficina municipal de la zona de urbanizaciones, en la que “contaremos con material informativo y lazos, con el objetivo de informar a la población de todos los recursos disponibles en el municipio para luchar contra esta lacra social”. Sampere ha indicado que durante todo el mes de marzo también se impartirán talleres de concienciación y prevención contra la violencia de género en los centros educativos de San Fulgencio, ya que “el primer paso para alcanzar la igualdad de género es apostar por la educación, sobre todo entre los más jóvenes”.
San Fulgencio forma parte del Pacto de Estado contra la Violencia de Género del Ministerio de Igualdad, y durante estos días “se reafirmará como municipio contra la violencia de género con la implementación de señales especiales que lo identifiquen como tal en las calles de la localidad”, ha indicado Ferrández. La edil ha invitado a la población sanfulgentina a participar de estas actividades, “para que entre todos y todas podamos ser capaces de crear una sociedad igualitaria en la que tanto hombres como mujeres puedan disfrutar de los mismos derechos de manera efectiva”.

The San Fulgencio Town Council has presented the programme of events to commemorate the 8th March, International Women’s Day. These activities have been organised by the councillors for Women and Equality in collaboration with the association Mujeres Unidas de San Fulgencio, and will take place from 6 to 13 March.
The councillor for Women, Mª Ángeles Ferrández, has indicated that the main event will take place on Sunday 6th in the Plaza de la Constitución in the town centre, starting at 10:00 hours. The event will include the installation of an information table and the distribution of solidarity ribbons, as well as healthy activities such as ‘Zumba’ and a lunch for those who attend. At the end, there will be a reading of the Women’s Day manifesto, “an institutional act in which we will claim that San Fulgencio is a town that believes and works every day for equality between men and women,” said Ferrández. Prior to the event, the Women’s Mass will be held from 9:00 am in the parish church of the municipality.
The activities will continue on the 8th March, when the Mujeres Unidas de San Fulgencio association has organised a film forum which will take place from 21:00 hours at the organisation’s headquarters, located on Avenida de Guardamar. During the event, a film related to the themes of feminism and equality will be shown. In this way “we want to share with the women of the association and those attending the different experiences and opinions on gender inequality, and how we can tackle it together,” said the president, Fina Reme Villena. Likewise, the councillor for Equality, Josefa Sampere, said that throughout the week information tables will be set up in the Town Hall, in the civic centre in the town centre and in the municipal office in the urbanisation area, where “we will have information material and bows, with the aim of informing the population of all the resources available in the municipality to fight against this social scourge”. Sampere has indicated that throughout the month of March there will also be awareness and prevention workshops against gender violence in schools in San Fulgencio, since “the first step to achieve gender equality is to bet on education, especially among the youngest”.
San Fulgencio is part of the State Pact against Gender Violence of the Ministry of Equality, and during these days “will reaffirm itself as a municipality against gender violence with the implementation of special signs that identify it as such in the streets of the town,” said Ferrández. The councillor invited the people of San Juan to take part in these activities, “so that together we can all be able to create an egalitarian society in which both men and women can effectively enjoy the same rights”.
