El concejal de Turismo y Mercados, Darren Parmenter, ha dado a conocer la nueva línea de autobús que unirá el casco urbano de San Fulgencio con la zona de urbanizaciones dos días a la semana. Tal y como ha explicado el edil, el servicio se prestará los martes y los jueves, con el objetivo de impulsar la movilidad de los residentes durante los días de mercado en ambas zonas y para potenciar el acceso a todas las áreas comerciales del municipio. Esta nueva línea de autobús ha arrancado su servicio hoy jueves 15 de julio con 12 paradas y cinco viajes al día, y será completamente gratuita.

De esta manera, “cualquier vecino que resida en la zona de urbanizaciones podrá desplazarse un martes para realizar sus compras en el mercado del casco urbano, situado en los alrededores del polideportivo municipal, y facilitará a su vez que un residente del casco urbano pueda acudir al mercado de los jueves en esta zona, situado en la calle Justo Antonio Quesada”, ha indicado Parmenter.

El servicio tendrá una frecuencia aproximada de 40 minutos, con salidas a las 9:00 horas, a las 9:40 horas, a las 10:20 horas, a las 11:00 horas y a las 11:40 horas. El punto de salida y llegada de los autobuses desde la zona de urbanizaciones tendrá lugar los martes desde la calle Francisco de Quevedo (desde la zona deportiva), mientras que los jueves empezará y terminará en el recinto multiusos del casco urbano. El recorrido dispondrá de paradas en la oficina de Correos (plaza de Consumo), avenida de Londres, la parada de taxis de la plaza Sierra Castilla, la intersección de la avenida Europa y la calle Justo Antonio Quesada, la oficina de Turismo y el Centro Médico en la calle Amsterdam, la calle San Francisco de Asís, la calle Charles de Gaulle (parque natural El Oasis), el recinto multiusos, la avenida de San Isidro y el centro comercial del sector VIII.

El concejal ha manifestado que este servicio, que “surge como respuesta a una necesidad muy demandada por la ciudadanía durante mucho tiempo”, se desarrollará en modo de prueba hasta el próximo mes de septiembre. “Esperamos que estas facilidades animen a nuestros residentes y visitantes a moverse más por la zona, y que sirva como revulsivo no solo a los comerciantes de los mercadillos sino también a todos los negocios y comercios del municipio, para que el servicio sea rentable y pueda ampliarse para todo el año”, ha indicado Parmenter.
