International Day Against Gender Violence

The Department of Social Services of San Fulgencio City Council presents the material produced by the municipal technicians in collaboration with Mancomunidad Bajo Segura to inform about the existing resources against Gender Violence in town and other levels, having produced a brochure with information in Spanish and English.

With this material, an information campaign will be carried on social networks and also with the placement of posters in shops and municipal premises during the week. Likewise, information tables will be set up with this material and commemorative purple ribbons in the town centre, in San Fulgencio Civic Centre (Lepanto street, 9) and in the Town Hall of La Marina urbanisation (temporarily located in the Social Centre of the urbanisation, in Avenida de San Fulgencio).

The San Fulgencio City Council signs a collaboration agreement with the Esperanza Pertusa Foundation for two years

The mayor of San Fulgencio, José Sampere, and the president of the Esperanza Pertusa Foundation, Esperanza Navarro, have recently signed a collaboration agreement with the entity for the next two years. At the time of signing, the councilor for Social Services of San Fulgencio, Josefa Sampere, was also present.

The agreement includes the transfer to the City Council by the foundation of a house in the urban area of the town, which will be managed by the Department of Social Services and which will allow vulnerable families to be accommodated in cases of greatest need.

“We want to thank Esperanza Navarro and the foundation that represents the help that they are always willing to provide to the municipality of San Fulgencio,” said the first mayor. “A help that today, through the signing of this agreement, is materialized in a mutual commitment to collaboration for the next two years,” he added.
