El alcalde de San Fulgencio, José Sampere, y el edil de cultura, David Vives, han comparecido ante los medios para anunciar la próxima reapertura del Museo Arqueológico de San Fulgencio, edificio que reúne los hallazgos arqueológicos de los yacimientos del término municipal de ‘La Escuera’ y ‘El Oral’.
Inaugurado en 1995, el Museo Arqueológico ha permanecido cerrado desde hace más de 14 años y, “desgraciadamente, destinado en muchas ocasiones durante este tiempo a fines que poco han tenido que ver con su cometido”, ha indicado Vives. Tras recibir el informe de los técnicos de Cultura de Conselleria, que el pasado mes de octubre registró el deficiente estado de conservación del conjunto museístico, “este equipo de gobierno reaccionó y se puso en marcha, informando también a los miembros de la oposición, para elaborar un plan de actuaciones lo antes posible y poder conseguir su recuperación”, ha manifestado el concejal.
El primer edil ha asegurado que esta reapertura es el resultado de “el compromiso firme de este Ayuntamiento para solucionar las deficiencias que presentaba y que van a permitir que, muy pronto, el museo pueda volver a abrir sus puertas el próximo día 1 de febrero, para ser de nuevo visitable por sus vecinos y todo el que lo desee”. El concejal ha manifestado que “tras consultar a nuestra arqueóloga municipal y demás expertos en la materia, se contactó con una de las empresas más prominentes en el sector como es ‘Rocamora Diseño y Arquitectura’”. Este estudio será el que redactará los proyectos técnicos, a los que se ha destinado un presupuesto de 22.264 euros.
Desde la Concejalía de Cultura también se dio cuenta de las acciones que se han realizado en el museo hasta la fecha, “como son la limpieza del espacio y la preparación, colocación y etiquetado de las piezas de la exposición permanente tanto en castellano como en valenciano”, ha indicado el edil responsable, “además de la adquisición de los recipientes adecuados para la conservación de los restos arqueológicos, que, debido a su material, permiten una mejor preservación de las piezas que no vayan a ser expuestas”. También se han realizado mejoras en la seguridad del edificio con la colaboración de la Policía Local de San Fulgencio, aportando su sistema de vigilancia con cámaras y cuyos agentes ayudarán a controlar el acceso al mismo al encontrarse sus dependencias adyacentes al museo.
Por su parte, el alcalde ha asegurado que “el museo requiere hacer dos proyectos técnicos, uno para la musealización y otro para acometer obras del recinto, lo que incluye eliminar humedades o acondicionar las paredes y el suelo, y estos importes saldrán íntegramente de las arcas del Ayuntamiento de San Fulgencio”.
Asimismo, el primer edil ha indicado que “se ha recibido confirmación desde la Conselleria de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de que no se nos va a quitar la condición de museo ni se nos dejará fuera del Sistema Valenciano de Museos, gracias a los compromisos y actuaciones realizadas, que permitirán su puesta en marcha de una manera casi inmediata”.
Por otra parte, desde el Ayuntamiento se ha mantenido una reunión con el director del MARQ (Museo Arqueológico Provincial), Manuel Olcina, quien ha ofrecido el apoyo de la institución y su colaboración para proceder a restaurar alguna de las piezas en caso de que fuera necesario.
El Museo Arqueológico municipal de San Fulgencio se encuentra situado en la plaza de la Constitución del casco urbano del municipio, y podrá visitarse siguiendo todas las medidas y protocolos de seguridad frente al Covid-19 a partir del lunes 1 de febrero, de manera gratuita. El horario de apertura será de lunes a viernes, desde las 10:00 a las 14:00 horas, y para acceder será necesario solicitar cita previa a través del teléfono de información municipal 966 79 40 20.

The Mayor of San Fulgencio, José Sampere, and the Councillor for Culture, David Vives, have appeared before the media to announce the forthcoming reopening of the Archaeological Museum of San Fulgencio, a building that brings together the archaeological finds from the sites of the municipalities of ‘La Escuera’ and ‘El Oral’.
Inaugurated in 1995, the Archaeological Museum has been closed for more than 14 years and, “unfortunately, on many occasions during this time it has been used for purposes that have had little to do with its purpose”, said Vives. After receiving the report from the Conselleria’s Culture technicians, which last October recorded the poor state of conservation of the museum complex, “this government team reacted and set to work, also informing the members of the opposition, to draw up a plan of action as soon as possible and to achieve its recovery,” said the councillor.
The mayor has assured that this reopening is the result of “the firm commitment of this Town Hall to solve the deficiencies that were present and that will allow the museum to reopen its doors very soon, on the 1st of February, so that it can be visited again by its neighbours and anyone else who wishes to do so”. The councillor said that “after consulting our municipal archaeologist and other experts in the field, we contacted one of the most prominent companies in the sector, ‘Rocamora Diseño y Arquitectura'”. This studio will draw up the technical projects, for which a budget of 22,264 euros has been earmarked.
The Department of Culture also gave an account of the actions that have been carried out in the museum to date, “such as the cleaning of the space and the preparation, placement and labelling of the pieces in the permanent exhibition in both Spanish and Valencian,” said the councillor, “as well as the acquisition of suitable containers for the conservation of archaeological remains, which, due to their material, allow better preservation of the pieces that are not going to be exhibited. Improvements have also been made to the security of the building with the collaboration of the Local Police of San Fulgencio, who have contributed their camera surveillance system and whose agents will help to control access to the building as its premises are adjacent to the museum.
For his part, the mayor assured that “the museum requires two technical projects, one for the museumisation and the other to carry out works on the site, which includes eliminating damp or refurbishing the walls and floor, and these amounts will come entirely from the San Fulgencio Town Hall coffers”.
The mayor also indicated that “confirmation has been received from the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport that our status as a museum will not be withdrawn, nor will we be left out of the Valencian Museum System, thanks to the commitments and actions carried out, which will allow us to start up the museum almost immediately”.
On the other hand, the Town Council has held a meeting with the director of the MARQ (Provincial Archaeological Museum), Manuel Olcina, who has offered the support of the institution and its collaboration to restore some of the pieces if necessary.
The Municipal Archaeological Museum of San Fulgencio is located in the Plaza de la Constitución in the town centre of the municipality, and can be visited following all security measures and protocols in front of the Covid-19 from Monday 1 February, free of charge. Der Bürgermeister von San Fulgencio, José Sampere, und der Bürgermeister für Kultur, David Vives, sind vor die Medien getreten, um die bevorstehende Wiedereröffnung des Archäologischen Museums von San Fulgencio anzukündigen, ein Gebäude, das die archäologischen Funde der Fundstätten der Gemeinde ‘La Escuera’ und ‘El Oral’ vereint.
Das 1995 eingeweihte Archäologische Museum ist seit mehr als 14 Jahren geschlossen und wurde in dieser Zeit “leider oft für Zwecke genutzt, die wenig mit seiner Mission zu tun hatten”, so Vives. Nach Erhalt des Berichts der Techniker der Kultur von Conselleria, der im vergangenen Oktober den schlechten Erhaltungszustand des Museumskomplexes feststellte, “hat dieses Regierungsteam reagiert und sich auf den Weg gemacht, auch die Mitglieder der Opposition informiert, um so schnell wie möglich einen Aktionsplan zu entwickeln und ihre Wiederherstellung zu erreichen”, sagte der Stadtrat.
Der erste Bürgermeister hat versichert, dass diese Wiedereröffnung das Ergebnis “des festen Engagements dieses Stadtrats ist, die Mängel zu beheben, die sich gezeigt haben und die es erlauben werden, dass das Museum sehr bald wieder seine Türen am 1. Februar öffnen kann, um wieder von seinen Nachbarn und allen, die es wollen, besucht werden zu können. Der Stadtrat sagte, dass “wir nach Rücksprache mit unserem Stadtarchäologen und anderen Experten auf dem Gebiet eine der bekanntesten Firmen in diesem Bereich wie ‘Rocamora Design und Architektur’ kontaktiert haben. Diese Studie wird die technischen Projekte entwerfen, für die ein Budget von 22.264 Euro vorgesehen ist.
Von der Abteilung für Kultur gab auch einen Bericht über die Maßnahmen, die bisher im Museum getroffen wurden, “wie die Reinigung des Raumes und die Vorbereitung, Platzierung und Beschriftung der Stücke der Dauerausstellung sowohl in Kastilisch als auch in Valencianisch”, sagte der zuständige Bürgermeister, “zusätzlich zum Erwerb von geeigneten Behältern für die Erhaltung der archäologischen Überreste, die aufgrund ihres Materials eine bessere Erhaltung der Stücke, die nicht ausgesetzt werden”. Auch die Sicherheit des Gebäudes wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit der Ortspolizei von San Fulgencio verbessert, die ihr Überwachungssystem mit Kameras ausstattet und deren Agenten den Zugang zum Gebäude kontrollieren werden, das an das Museum angrenzt
Der Bürgermeister hat seinerseits versichert, dass “das Museum zwei technische Projekte benötigt, eines für die Musealisierung und ein weiteres, um Arbeiten an der Einfriedung vorzunehmen, was die Beseitigung von Feuchtigkeit oder die Konditionierung der Wände und des Bodens beinhaltet, und diese Beträge werden vollständig aus der Kasse der Stadtverwaltung von San Fulgencio kommen”.
Ebenso hat der Bürgermeister darauf hingewiesen, dass “wir vom Ministerium für Bildung, Kultur und Sport die Bestätigung erhalten haben, dass uns der Status des Museums nicht entzogen wird oder wir aus dem valencianischen Museumssystem ausgeschlossen werden, dank der eingegangenen Verpflichtungen und Maßnahmen, die eine fast sofortige Umsetzung ermöglichen”.
Auf der anderen Seite, von der Stadtverwaltung hat ein Treffen mit dem Direktor des MARQ (Provincial Archaeological Museum), Manuel Olcina, der die Unterstützung der Institution und ihre Zusammenarbeit angeboten hat, um einige der Stücke zu restaurieren, wenn nötig.
Das Städtische Archäologische Museum von San Fulgencio befindet sich auf dem Platz der Verfassung der Stadt der Gemeinde und kann nach allen Maßnahmen und Sicherheitsprotokollen vor dem Covid-19 ab Montag, dem 1. Februar, kostenlos besucht werden. Die Öffnungszeiten sind von Montag bis Freitag, von 10:00 bis 14:00 Uhr, und für den Zugang wird es notwendig sein, einen Termin über das städtische Informationstelefon 966 79 40 20 zu beantragen.
