El alcalde de San Fulgencio, José Sampere, y el concejal de Obras y Servicios, Francisco Molero, han visitado las obras de la Avenida de la Libertad, en el casco urbano del municipio. Los trabajos suponen la renovación del tramo de alcantarillado situado entre las calles Jorge Juan y Vereda de San Isidro. Unas obras que el concejal ha definido como “muy necesarias” debido al mal estado en el que se encontraba esta parte del alcantarillado tanto por su antigüedad como por los materiales que se habían utilizado para su construcción.

La empresa Hidraqua, adjudicataria del servicio, será la encargada de realizar estos trabajos, que tal y como ha señalado la técnica de la obra, Elena García, tienen como objetivo la sustitución del actual tramo de tuberías de hormigón, “un material que lleva a producir numerosas infiltraciones y pérdidas al subsuelo”, por unas nuevas conducciones de PVC de 400 milímetros, “más resistentes e impermeables, que conducirán el agua de manera más eficiente y evitarán filtraciones que afecten a la calidad del agua recogida, facilitando también su tratamiento posterior en la depuradora municipal”, ha añadido.

La actuación, que cuenta con un presupuesto total de 112.026 euros, terminará antes del verano. El concejal ha asegurado que mientras se realizan los trabajos “el suministro de agua potable a los vecinos de esta calle no se va a ver interrumpido”. La ejecución de la obra ha supuesto el corte del tráfico de no residentes a la avenida de San Isidro y también a la avenida Príncipe de Asturias, así como el desvío de vehículos pesados y control de accesos por parte de la Policía Local de San Fulgencio.

Por su parte, el alcalde de San Fulgencio, José Sampere, ha señalado que “se trata de una nueva actuación de entre las programadas por este Ayuntamiento y que tienen como finalidad mejorar la vida y los servicios básicos de los vecinos del municipio”. Tal y como ha indicado el primer edil, este compromiso del equipo de gobierno “se une a los diversos proyectos que estamos desarrollando desde el inicio de esta legislatura para llevar a cabo la renovación de infraestructuras tanto en urbanizaciones como en el casco urbano de San Fulgencio, y que vamos a desarrollar a lo largo de los próximos meses”.
