The San Fulgencio City Council incorporates four new agents to its Local Police staff

  • The 29 members of the body will “improve” security in the urban area and in the complex network of urbanizations, says Mayor Sampere
  • The opposition process and creation of the Job Bank carried out by the Consistory will provide police to six other municipalities in the province

The San Fulgencio Local Police has had four new officers among its ranks for a few days. As reported by the mayor of the municipality and head of the area, José Sampere, the new agents have recently joined as a result of the opposition process initiated by the Consistory last March to staff the Police staff. Local of the municipality.

“Given the breadth of the territory of our municipal area, which encompasses both the urban area and the urbanization area, a greater number of agents was necessary, to give a better service to the neighbors and serve in a closer and more efficient way all our residents ”, has justified the first council. With the recent additions, the staff of the San Fulgencio Local Police has finally been made up of 29 people, led by a Chief Inspector, 21 operative agents, three officers with administrative functions, and four interim agents dedicated to traffic control.

In the same way, the Consistory has signed different collaboration agreements with the municipalities of San Isidro, Formentera del Segura, Benejúzar, Ibi, Aspe and Daya Nueva “so that the job bank created after this selection process and in which they were 30 people registered, it could also staff their respective Local Police services ”, Sampere reported. Thus, 16 agents will be able to access these jobs in other locations. Ibi and Aspe will be the municipalities with the most personnel (six and five officers respectively), while San Isidro will have two new police officers. Formentera del Segura, Daya Nueva and Benejúzar will each receive an agent.

Sampere has expressed his satisfaction at the signing of these agreements between the different municipalities, since “as a municipality we have been able to respond to the request for collaboration of all these localities in an agile and useful way for all”. Likewise, the councilor has indicated that sharing resources between several municipalities “is a way to achieve mutual benefit, save time and optimize resources, which in most of the times are scarce and very necessary to sustain municipal management.”
